New Faces at NeighborSpace!

Conor Harrington, Program Assistant

Hey everyone! My name is Conor Harrington, and I’m excited to join the NeighborSpace team as it’s new Program Assistant! I’m eager to bring my passion for conservation, science education, and environmental field work to both the communities and greenspaces of Baltimore County. I’ve spent the last few years doing a wide variety of things, including research on pathogens affecting amphibian populations, invasive species management, community education and outreach, and teaching college classes. Born and raised just south of Baltimore, I received a B.S. in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.S. in Biology from San Francisco State University.

I recently moved back to Maryland, and I’m thrilled to be able to protect and improve natural areas for community benefit. I enjoy reading, camping, board games, backpacking, and spending time with my dogs. Feel free to reach out to me anytime at

Briana Golding, Intern

Hello! My name is Briana Golding. I am a senior at Towson University majoring in environmental science, focusing on ecological restoration. During my freshman year, I originally decided to work with the environment as an excuse to work outside and be around plants. Courses such as Ecology, Biodiversity, Conservation Biology, and Plant Taxonomy expanded my understanding of how our environment is interconnected and fueled my passion for restoration ecology. During my time at Towson, I have worked with environmental clubs to restore parks and clean our reservoirs to ensure they are habitable for wildlife in the area. I also have been working with nonprofits such as NeighborSpace to plant trees and monitor our water quality. Experiences such as these encouraged me to take a hands-on approach to my future career and focus on the small changes I can make to maintain a healthy and sustainable environment for us all to thrive in.

After moving to Baltimore, I realized there are beautiful parks in this area, but access to these green spaces may be difficult. I am excited to work with NeighborSpace because their mission aligns with my goals of restoring our green spaces and connecting those around them. I will be here to assist with workshops and to help monitor and restore our 21 sites. I believe they will promote a sustainable environment for those in the area, and I can’t wait to see the progress to come!
