This #GivingTuesday, Help NeighborSpace...
- support its community partners! They are the ones who work tirelessly to make sure the parks are clean and safe, who host neighborhood events to bring people together, and who work with NeighborSpace staff to identify and address maintenance needs as well as plan and execute restoration projects. Your donation allows community partners to purchase tools, print flyers, or refund a neighbor for use of their water to make sure new plantings thrive.
- support its volunteers! NeighborSpace co-hosts many volunteer events throughout the year to maintain and enhance its sites. Thanks to community leaders, neighbors, individuals from across the County, and corporate teams, NeighborSpace’s public sites are in good shape! 2025 will be a busy year, filled with invasive removal sessions, stream clean-ups, and fun events such as bug blitzes, bio blitzes, bird walks and herp hunts. Your donation will allow NeighborSpace to provide items such as tools, trash bags, gloves and volunteer refreshments.
- expand its educational offerings! In 2025, we plan to offer our Natives for Native Plants course again, start a community science project to inventory native plants and pollinators, build nature kits for young neighbors to use at our parks, and provide training in site monitoring and forest health assessment. Your donation will help residents of all ages engage with nature in their neighborhood.
NeighborSpace is thankful to the many individuals who generously give of their time, skills, and knowledge to assist with everything from park maintenance to hosting events and strategic planning. Volunteers are at the heart of NeighborSpace’s community-centered model.
